Neighbourhood Planning


SPS supports communities writing a Neighbourhood Plan as much as our resources allow. We can review draft plans at consultation stage and can offer general advice on heritage and landscape policies.


CPRE has produced excellent guidance to help community groups develop strong landscape policies in their Neighbourhood Plans, to influence future development decisions that would affect their local area. It will be helpful for anyone who is interested in protecting what is special about their local landscape. It can be accessed here:

Suffolk's Completed Plans:

The following plans are complete, have been approved by the local communities via a referendum, and now form part of the Local Plan. The plans should be used in considering all applications for development within their neighbourhood.
