We were delighted to welcome around 90 participants to the beautiful Haughley Park Barn on Wednesday for our ‘Energy Efficiency and Old Buildings’ training day.

SPS partnered with Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings and Historic England to deliver the event.

The workshop was delivered by Roger Hunt and Marianne Suhr on behalf of SPAB, together as well as Dan McNaughton from Historic England and Simon Sturgis, Targeting Zero and SPS Trustee.

We also welcomed a number of stall holders who were able to display and discuss some of the materials and products required to maintain and improve our historic buildings.

The sell out audience of professionals, homeowners and community representatives demonstrated the growing interest and importance of this topic. A huge thanks to all who helped to make this event such a success.

The workshop was made possible thanks to the Suffolk Climate Action Community Match Fund, which was provided by Suffolk’s public sector organisations, as part of the wider work to address the climate emergency.
