Local Councils
District authorities – Ipswich Borough Council, East Suffolk DC, Babergh DC, Mid Suffolk DC and West Suffolk DC- provide advice to home owners on heritage projects. Their websites contain guidance and policy on listed buildings, conservation areas, and guidance and policy specific to their area.
Suffolk County Council maintains the Suffolk Historic Environment Record (HER) – a collection of information about the nature and location of archaeological sites in Suffolk.
