SPS held a very successful summer party on 18 July at Heveningham Hall – by kind invitation of Jon and Lois Hunt.

SPS Members and guests began their evening with drinks provided by Fishers Gin of Aldeburgh, together with tasty canapes – all enjoyed in the warm evening sunshine in the Hall’s courtyard.

We were then entertained by a talk from architectural historian, Jeremy Musson, which covered his memories and experiences of Suffolk both as a child and then curator of the National Trust and regular contributor to Country Life.

Jeremy then presented the award certificates to our 2024 Suffolk Heritage Champions.

13 awards were presented on the evening and we were pleased that almost all the recipients were able to attend the evening to receive certificate and appreciation of the county.

Our President, Geoffrey Probert gave a brief introduction to the work and achievements of each winner.
